Patient Safety and Quality Data

MAHSA Specialist Hospital
Prevention and Control of Infection

Patient safety and high-quality care are central to everything we do at MAHSA Specialist Hospital. Our Infection Control Team conducts continuous surveillance on Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs) to ensure early detection and effective prevention. Through stringent infection-control practices, we work diligently to minimise the risk of infection and safeguard the wellbeing of every patient.

What is a Hospital-Acquired Infection (HAI)?

A Hospital-Acquired Infection is an infection that develops during a patient’s stay in a healthcare facility—one that was neither present nor incubating at the time of admission.

In MAHSA Specialist Hospital , our HAI rate is lower than the universal rate. We are benchmarking our data with the Ministry of Health.
